About

Railster is a producer, sound designer, and visual artist whose work blends electronic music, visual culture, and raw hardware experimentation.

In July 2025, Railster released his latest full-length project, Defrag System — an introspective exploration of sound, memory, and time. Built using a mix of vintage and modern gear including the Akai s950, MPC 2000XL, this album reflects years of collected sonic tools and studio experimentation. Recently featured on Beat Tape Co Op

His previous 2019 album Another Day marked a turning point, showcasing a matured sound that blends soulful textures with tight, modern beats. The album received a good critical acclaim and was featured in a Nike advertisement with Sara Gama collaborating with Panottica. The 6 tracks EP have a visual available on YouTube.

After Another Day, he has expanded his artistic vision into digital art and NFTs, collaborating with artists like Adriano Attus (Art Director at Il Sole 24 Ore) for the Neometrie collection, and working alongside MattiaC and other digital creators, bridging the gap between auditory and visual experiences.

Around 2015, he co-founded BEAT.IT, a collective platform that published two compilations and three singles, becoming a hub for Italy’s rising beat scene and experimental producers mentioned by Damir Ivic.

Previously, in 2015, Railster released the EP Your First on LuckyBeard Records (Phra – Crookers), fusing analog grit with digital clarity. The project explored unconventional rhythms and textures, combining retro machines with digital workflows to create immersive soundscapes.

In 2013, the release of Fields via Crackling Claps solidified his reputation as a forward-thinking producer unafraid of ambient tones and futuristic urban, abstract structures.

His 2009 debut album, Patchwork Anthems (ReddArmy), remains an underground favorite, strongly influenced by labels like Anticon and Def Jux, and marked the beginning of Railster’s signature sound — raw, melodic, and deeply personal.

Over the years, he has collaborated with artists such as Doro Gjat, Egreen, and remixed tracks for Swede:Art, Ghemon Gilmar, and Portformat. These projects gained attention from international imprints including EMI, Unlimited Struggle, Error Broadcast, and Tokyo Dawn Records.

Since the early 2000s, Railster has performed across Europe — from intimate clubs to festivals and cultural events — crafting energetic live sets centered on live sampling, vintage samplers, synths, and hardware improvisation.

His full discography — including EPs, collaborations, and instrumental releases — is available on Bandcamp and all major streaming platforms, continuing to resonate with listeners seeking immersive experiences.
